MESSAGE FROM DAVID FRITZ OF
President of Cruise Everything
I have produced three Immersive Broadway Adventures in the past which provided my private group unprecedented access backstage and behind the scenes in New York, with some of Broadway’s most illustrious stars, including two Tony award-winning best actors. This is simply not a “Grey Line” theatre tour of New York. Many of you know my entertainment background and I am excited to announce my return to Broadway in 2024. No, not on stage, but with you joining me on the trip of a lifetime.
On our private and exclusive trip, you will be granted special access to theatres, venues, and private clubs that are closed to any other tour and the public. With my friends’ help, you are invited in as VIP guests and meet famous (or soon to be famous) actors, directors and artists that are now shaping the future of Broadway. Some of these amazing people will perform privately for us and mingle at our private events and meals.
The highlight of our trip will be an historical tour of the theatre district and New York City by one of the most famous theatre historians alive today, Joseph Rosenberg, PH. D. My friend, Joe, was the co-founder and first president of the New York City Historic Districts Council, directly responsible for saving Radio City Music Hall, and co-founder of Save The Theatres which was responsible for the landmark designations of 35 Broadway theatres. He is highly respected and revered by the theatre community, which includes the president and CEO of Walt Disney Theatricals, Thomas Schumacher. You see, years ago it was Joe that helped save several Broadway theatres from destruction including the New Amsterdam theatre which is now the Disney Theatricals home in New York City, and was the birthplace of "The Lion King."
This is a theatre tour, so yes, we will see three Broadway shows during our stay in New York City. One show we will see together as a group. You will have the opportunity to choose your other two Broadway shows. If you choose the two select shows, you will have a post-performance meeting with a cast member. You will have the option of seeing yet another show of your choice (additional cost). For all shows, your seats will be in the Front Orchestra. No nosebleed or rear orchestra group seats for us.
Our private group will be expertly managed by my friend, Alejandro Almaguer, Executive Director of V.I.P. Tours of New York. He is a NYC Licensed Tour Guide and will expertly manage everything from your selection of shows to your luxury accommodation. A native of Cuba, he moved to New York years ago and has arranged private groups for the discerning theatre traveler.
Please, contact me immediately if you are interested in considering this exclusive Broadway theater experience. Space is limited and our last three trips sold out quickly. I look forward to sharing with you this unique and rare opportunity to take a glimpse backstage on Broadway! - David Fritz
Four nights’ accommodation at the Legendary Knickerbocker Hotel, Times Square’s only historic, luxury hotel. All rooms for our group will have walk-in showers.

YOUR NYC HOSTS
Joseph Rosenberg, Ph. D.
Joe received a PhD in Medical Biochemistry from the Fels Cancer Research Institute (bet you didn’t see that coming!) and he came to New York for a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. But New York seemed to have other plans for Joe; before long, he would change his entire life focus to theater and historical preservation.
While developing his passion for motion picture palaces, historic theaters, and other architecturally significant buildings and neighborhoods, Joe witnessed many historic buildings being torn down. Determined to do something about it, Joe re-activated the languishing New York Historic Districts Council, became its president, and began working closely with New York City’s Landmark Preservation Commission. Together, the commission pushed for the NYC landmark designation of more than 10 NYC Historic Districts including SoHo, DUMBO, Park Slope, Fort Greene, the Upper East Side, and the Upper West Side. (New York now has 110+ historic districts).
Joe worked alongside Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the fierce battle to save Grand Central Station – a fight that went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court – helping to shape the architectural preservation movement throughout the U.S. He was chief advisor to the founders of “The Showpeople’s Committee to Save Radio City Music Hall”, in response to plans to demolish what was long-called the “Showplace of the Nation.” Joe also co-founded, with Actor’s Equity, “Save The Theatres, Inc.” which fought to save five theatres from demolition for the construction of a hotel. When the project failed and the theatres were demolished, they successfully campaigned for the landmark designations of 35 remaining Broadway theatres.
Alejandro Almaguer
Executive Director, V.I.P. Tours of New York; B.A. Economics, University of Havana; M.S. in Tourism and Travel Management, NYU School of Professional Studies, Dean’s Scholar; NYC Licensed Tour Guide.
Alejandro is a true people person, and he gets his energy from being around people and seeing them have a good time. With a keen eye for detail and a great memory, Alejandro will remember every interaction he has had with group members for years. And he says that his work doesn’t feel like work because he gets to do what he likes the most: enjoying theatre and connecting with people.
Alejandro used the downtime during the pandemic to pursue a Masters in Tourism and Travel Management at the NYU School of Professional Studies. He had the honor of being selected as a Dean Scholar and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Alejandro has had the privilege of learning from leading practitioners in the tourism and hospitality industry and he brings this knowledge and skill to V.I.P. Tours of New York to ensure that their clients receive the top-notch service that they deserve.
A self-proclaimed social entrepreneur, Alejandro is passionate about being part of a business that brings people together through the spirit of travel and the magic of the arts. Because he loves the educational side as much as he loves growing the business, Alejandro ultimately wants to help raise awareness about cultural and architectural preservation and highlight the significance of the arts to communities.
PAST BROADWAY
STARS WITH
CRUISE EVERYTHING
Although we cannot predict the future, we are proud to say that two “Tony Award Best Actor” winners have met with our group on past trips. In this case, neither of these actors meet with other tour groups, this was exclusive thanks to Joe and David’s entertainment contacts on Broadway.
Danny Burstein
A seven-time Tony Award nominee, Danny Burstein won the 2020 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance as Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway. You might remember Danny from his many roles in movies and TV shows such as Boardwalk Empire on HBO. In 2007, Danny met with our private Cruise Everything group for cocktails and conversation and the next day we were delighted to see him perform in “The Drowsy Chaperone.
David Alvarez
David Alvarez is best known for being one of the original Billys in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical and becoming one of the youngest winners of the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. David and his mom met our private Cruise Everything group and enjoyed lunch and treating us to Classical style music that he wrote and played. Later that night we saw him perform the leading role in Billy Elliott. By the way, he won the Tony Award with Elton John just 5 days after we met him on that trip. Now a movie star, David just starred in Steven Spielberg's 2021 film version of West Side Story where he plays the part of Bernardo.
